Turbinicarpus dickisoniae, RS 321A (10 seeds)

Turbinicarpus dickisoniae, RS 321A, Aramberri to Lampacitos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

This is an attractive Turbinicarpus which, similarly to the other members of the genus, never grows very large. 10 year old plants are still only a few cm in diameter. Often seen as a subspecies to T. schmiedickeanus, newer research suggests that T. dickisoniae is a good species.

It has a dark green body mostly covered by fine white radial spines and one long and wavy, grey-black central spine. Whitish yellow flowers appear in late summer in August and September. Mature plants develop quite a lot of wool at the top, giving it a charming appearance.

We recommend a deep pot to accomodate the big tap root, and mineral soil to reduce the risk of overwatering. 

10 seeds per packet. Seeds germinate well under normal conditions.
