Gymnocalycium striglianum, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina.

This is a striking Gymnocalycium with an attractive dark brown epidermis. The spines are black at the base and light brown towards the tip. Beautiful pinkish-white flowers appear in June.

It's a fairly slow grower and remains quite small. It develops a large tap root. We recommend a mineral soil and a deep pot to accommodate the tap root.

20 seeds per packet. The seeds germinate well under normal conditions.
