Aylostera heliosa var. solisioides RH 1024 (plant)

This is a very nice variety of Aylostera heliosa. It is slightly larger than the species with larger flowers as well. The flowers are a lovely orange. Tiny white spines cover the body, which will offset with age and eventually create a beautiful clump of heads. It flowers willingly in spring.

This is a farily easy species to grow. Many growers will use a fairly organic soil for Aylostera, though we still recommend at least a large amount of mineral content to reduce the risk of root rot.
